About War Memorial Gym - CA

War Memorial Gym - CA refers to War Memorial Gymnasium, also known as War Memorial Gym and The War Memorial Gym at the Sobrato Center. The venue opened in 1958 and underwent a major renovation before reopening to guests as the Sobrato Center in November 2024. Owned and operated by the University of San Francisco, it is located at 2335 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco and holds approximately 3,000–5,000 guests for basketball, with capacity varying by configuration.

How Much Do Tickets to War Memorial Gym - CA Cost?

War Memorial Gym - CA ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the artist or team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from regular-season collegiate basketball to marquee conference matchups.

For San Francisco Dons collegiate basketball during the regular season, tickets are commonly available in an approximate range of $10–$40, with price differences driven by seat location, opponent, and demand.

Marquee games and conference matchups can run higher based on the opponent and overall demand for the date. Center-court sideline seating and lower rows closest to the floor are typically in stronger demand than upper, corner, or baseline areas.

Buying earlier generally secures better seat selection and pricing for higher-demand games. As inventory shrinks and the date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise, especially when a popular opponent or special campus event drives interest.

Getting Ready for Your War Memorial Gym - CA Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a campus venue in a dense San Francisco neighborhood where parking and arrival timing matter.

• Build extra time into your transit plan. Muni connections make the campus accessible, but arriving early helps account for event-night crowds and traffic around the area.
