About Players Guild Theatre

Players Guild Theatre is a nonprofit community theatre organization located at 6000 Frank Ave NW in Canton, Ohio. The company was founded in 1932 and is recognized as one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the United States. It operates as a resident theatre company presenting seated stage productions across a full theatrical season.

The venue is regarded as one of Northeast Ohio’s premier spaces for quality live theatre, with a reputation built around professionally directed productions, volunteer participation, and hands-on theatre education. Its season includes musicals and plays, including dramas and comedies, along with theatre-arts education and community engagement programming.

Performances are scheduled in runs across the season, and subscription packages are offered for patrons who want to attend multiple productions throughout the year. Location & Transportation

Players Guild Theatre is located at 6000 Frank Ave NW, Canton, OH 44720 — along Frank Ave NW in the Canton/North Canton area.

Driving and Parking: Patrons primarily arrive by car, and on-site or adjacent lot parking is typical for a venue of this type. For popular performances, arriving ahead of curtain time gives you more time to park, enter, and get seated before the show begins.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are workable at the venue entrance. Availability follows general Stark County norms, so building in a little extra time after the performance can make post-show pickup smoother.

Nearby Accommodation: Lodging is available throughout the Canton–North Canton corridor. Hotels are concentrated near nearby commercial areas and highway access, which can be convenient for out-of-town patrons attending a performance.

Venue Navigation

Players Guild Theatre is a seated live theatre venue, so understanding your ticket location before arrival helps you move from the entrance to your seats with less stress. Because performances begin on schedule, plan to be parked, inside, and seated before curtain time.

Dining Options

Outside the Venue — Canton/North Canton

Dining is available along the Frank Ave NW and Belden Village/North Canton commercial corridor. The surrounding retail area includes restaurants and chains that work well for a pre-show meal or a simple post-performance stop before heading home.

Security & Policies

Players Guild Theatre maintains security and venue policies that are updated regularly and may vary by event. Before attending, reviewing the current policy on the venue's official website is strongly recommended.

Entry Procedures: Digital and advance ticketing is handled through the venue’s ticketing provider, and patrons present tickets at the door for scheduled performances. Arriving with your tickets ready on your phone helps keep entry moving smoothly.

How Much Do Tickets to Players Guild Theatre Cost?

Players Guild Theatre ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the production, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from plays and comedies to popular mainstage musicals.

For mainstage musicals and plays, single-ticket prices are typically modest and in line with community and regional theatre. Pricing can vary by production type, with musicals, plays, performance dates, seat location, and demand all influencing the final cost.

Season subscription and flexible packages can offer discounted per-show pricing when purchased as a multi-show package. These options are especially useful for regular patrons who want to attend multiple productions across the theatre season while securing seats in advance.

Subscription packages and earlier purchases generally provide better seat selection and stronger per-show value, particularly for popular musicals. As performance dates approach and seats are selected, the best remaining options can become more limited.
