About Kweskin Theatre

Kweskin Theatre is a traditional theater in Stamford, Connecticut, located at the Sterling Farms complex and operated by Curtain Call, Inc., a nonprofit community theater organization. The venue seats approximately 184 guests for full productions, giving it the scale of an intimate auditorium while supporting formal, full-stage performances.

The theater is the primary performance space of Curtain Call, Stamford's longest-running nonprofit theater company, and one of two performance spaces the organization operates at Sterling Farms. Its programming includes full-scale musicals, plays, Broadway-style stage productions, seasonal shows, and family-oriented performances.

Recent productions at Kweskin Theatre have included Come From Away, Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, and Newsies, reflecting Curtain Call's focus on popular stage works in a close, community-centered setting.

Location & Transportation

Kweskin Theatre is located at 1349 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905 — at the Sterling Farms complex in a residential area of Stamford.

Driving and Parking: Driving is the standard way to reach Kweskin Theatre. The venue is situated at the Sterling Farms complex, where on-site parking is available for patrons attending performances.

Transit: Stamford Transit District bus service covers the city, but the theater's Newfield Avenue location sits away from Stamford's downtown transit core. For most visitors, transit is a less direct option than driving or using a rideshare service.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are feasible at the venue's address. After the show, standard suburban pickup conditions apply, so allowing a little extra time for your driver to reach the complex can make departure easier.

Nearby Accommodation: Lodging is available throughout Stamford, with a greater concentration of hotels near downtown Stamford and the I-95 corridor, a short drive from the theater.

Venue Navigation

Kweskin Theatre has a small, single-level layout that makes navigation straightforward. Knowing the basic setup before you arrive helps you move from parking to the entrance and into your seat without rushing before curtain.

Entrances and Access: Patrons enter through the main entrance at the Sterling Farms / Curtain Call complex on Newfield Avenue.

Seating Levels: The venue uses a single-level, traditional auditorium layout with approximately 184 seats facing the stage. Its compact scale keeps every section close to the performance.

Getting to Your Section: Because the theater is intimate and single-level, all seats are easy to reach. Front-row and center-section locations place patrons especially close to the stage, while the rest of the house still maintains a short distance from the action.

How Much Do Tickets to Kweskin Theatre Cost?

Kweskin Theatre ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the production, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from family-oriented shows to popular Broadway-style musicals.

For community theater musicals and plays, single-ticket prices are typically modest and in line with regional nonprofit community theater, often in the lower tens of dollars per ticket. Production type, seat location within the house, and demand for a particular show can all affect the final price.

Because Kweskin Theatre is a small house with approximately 184 seats, popular productions can sell out. Buying earlier generally gives you better seat selection, especially if you want center-section seats or multiple seats together.

> No hidden fees. At Box Office Ticket Sales, the price you see is the price you pay. All fees are shown before checkout — no surprise charges when you reach the final step.

Kweskin Theatre Seating Guide

Kweskin Theatre's seating layout is easy to understand because it is a single-level, traditional auditorium arranged toward the stage. With only about 184 seats, the room offers close views throughout the house, but seat location still matters if you want the strongest sightline or the closest possible view.

Best Seats at Kweskin Theatre

• Best value: Seats throughout the single-level auditorium can offer strong value because the room is compact and all seats remain close to the stage.
• Closest to the action: Front-row and forward center seats put patrons nearest the stage, making them a good fit for those who want maximum proximity to the performers.
• Best overall experience: Center-section seats provide the strongest sightlines in the intimate 184-seat house, balancing clear views with the close audience experience Kweskin Theatre is known for.
• For groups: Because the auditorium is small, coordinating seats together early is helpful for popular productions and high-demand performance dates.
