About Cominco Arena

Cominco Arena is an indoor arena located at 1051 Victoria Street in Trail, BC, within a municipally operated recreation facility run by the City of Trail. The venue is configured around a regulation ice sheet with surrounding spectator seating, giving it the feel of a traditional community and junior-hockey rink.

The arena is best known as the home of the Trail Smoke Eaters, a British Columbia Hockey League team tied closely to Trail’s deep hockey heritage. Trail holds a special place in Canadian hockey history: the Trail Smoke Eaters won the World Ice Hockey Championship in 1939 and 1961 while representing Canada internationally.

Cominco Arena reflects the identity of a small smelter city along the Columbia River, where hockey remains a central part of the local live-event calendar.

How Much Do Tickets to Cominco Arena Cost?

Cominco Arena ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team or matchup, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from BCHL regular-season hockey to playoff games and community gatherings.

For junior hockey, including Trail Smoke Eaters BCHL regular-season games, tickets are typically priced at modest community-level rates, often in the low-to-mid tens of dollars per ticket. Matchups, opponent interest, and playoff dates can affect the final price.

For marquee or playoff games, buying earlier generally secures better availability. As inventory tightens and the event date approaches, the best remaining seat options can become harder to find.

> No hidden fees. At Box Office Ticket Sales, the price you see is the price you pay. All fees are shown before checkout — no surprise charges when you reach the final step.

Cominco Arena Seating Guide

Cominco Arena is arranged around a regulation ice sheet, so seating choice comes down to how close you want to be to the action and how much of the rink you want in view. For hockey, seats with a wider angle can make it easier to follow plays developing end to end.

Best Seats at Cominco Arena

• Best value: Upper seating areas can offer strong value for fans who want a broader look at the rink while keeping the full pace of the game in view.
• Closest to the action: Lower seating areas near the rink put you nearest to the boards, benches, and fast-moving play.
• Best overall experience: Mid-range seats with a centered view often provide a balanced combination of sightline, atmosphere, and proximity.

Getting Ready for Your Cominco Arena Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a community ice arena where parking, digital tickets, and cold indoor temperatures can shape the experience.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Arriving by car is standard, so allow time for parking at the recreation complex on busier game nights.
• Dress in layers. As an ice arena, interior temperatures run cold; warm layers help keep you comfortable while watching from the seating area.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
