Broadbent Arena Tickets

Broadbent Arena Tickets & Events

Broadbent Arena serves Louisville as a flexible indoor arena on the 400-acre Kentucky Exposition Center grounds, hosting concerts, sporting events, family shows, ice events, trade shows, and exhibitions. Broadbent Arena tickets connect fans with mid-sized arena events in a setting built for crowds larger than a theater while staying more intimate than the larger Freedom Hall nearby.

This page covers everything you need to know before you go — from finding the right seats to getting there, navigating the venue, and buying with confidence.

About Broadbent Arena

Broadbent Arena opened in 1977 and is part of the Kentucky Exposition Center, which is operated by Kentucky Venues. Located on the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center grounds in Louisville, Kentucky, the arena holds approximately 6,000 to 7,000 guests depending on the event configuration. Its setting within the larger exposition complex gives it access to extensive parking, shared event infrastructure, and a major regional events campus.

The arena hosts a broad mix of concerts across genres, sporting events, family shows, ice events, trade shows, and exhibitions tied to the wider Kentucky Exposition Center calendar. It functions as the complex’s intermediate indoor arena, complementing the much larger Freedom Hall next door while giving Louisville a well-established space for mid-sized arena events.

Broadbent Arena is known for its adaptable single-bowl setup, with a floor area and surrounding seating that can be configured for concerts, sports, and exhibition-style events.

Location & Transportation

Broadbent Arena is located at 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville, KY 40209 — on the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds near Louisville International Airport and just off Interstate 264, the Watterson Expressway.

Driving and Parking: Most attendees arrive by car, and extensive on-site surface parking is available throughout the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds. Parking fees typically apply and vary by event. The complex’s large lots are designed to accommodate arena crowds, with access from Phillips Lane and nearby exposition center entrances.

Transit: TARC bus service connects the exposition center area with the broader Louisville transit network, though driving is the most common way to reach Broadbent Arena. The venue’s location near Louisville International Airport and I-264 makes it practical for regional visitors as well as local attendees.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are accommodated within the exposition center grounds. After large events, allow extra time for pickup and exit because the complex covers a large area and multiple events can affect traffic flow.

Nearby Accommodation: Numerous hotels are clustered near Louisville International Airport and along the I-264/I-65 corridor adjacent to the exposition center. Downtown Louisville, a short drive north, offers additional hotel options and a wider restaurant scene.

Venue Navigation

Broadbent Arena has a straightforward indoor arena layout, with a single-bowl seating configuration around a floor area that changes by event type. Understanding the setup in advance helps you choose the right section and move efficiently through the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds before showtime.

Entrances and Access: Guests enter through Broadbent Arena entrances on the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds, with access from the complex’s parking areas off Phillips Lane. Because the exposition center spans multiple buildings and large parking areas, reviewing your ticket and venue map before leaving can help you head toward the right side of the complex.

Seating Levels: The arena uses a single-bowl configuration with floor space and surrounding fixed seating. Concerts, sports, ice events, and exhibitions can each use the floor differently, so the exact layout depends on the event.

Accessibility: Accessible seating and parking are available as part of Kentucky Exposition Center facilities. Guests who need accessible routes should allow extra time to move from the parking areas into the arena.

Getting to Your Section: Staff and signage direct guests to seating areas after entry. The single-bowl format makes section navigation simple compared with larger multi-level arenas, but arriving early is helpful for busy events because shared parking and entry routes can slow movement around the complex.

Dining Options

Inside Broadbent Arena

Broadbent Arena offers concession stands with standard arena fare and beverages during events. Lines can build closer to showtime and during breaks, so arriving early or visiting concessions outside peak moments can make the experience smoother.

Outside the Venue — Louisville International Airport and I-264 Corridor

Dining near Broadbent Arena is concentrated around Louisville International Airport and along the I-264 corridor near the Kentucky Exposition Center. Downtown Louisville, a short drive north, offers a broader restaurant scene for fans who want to make dinner part of the event night.

Security & Policies

Broadbent Arena maintains security and venue policies that are updated regularly and may vary by event. Before attending, reviewing the current policy on the venue's official website is strongly recommended.

Bag Policy: Bag restrictions, clear-bag rules, or size-limit policies can apply for Broadbent Arena events and may vary by event. Reviewing the event guidelines before packing helps prevent delays at entry.

Commonly Prohibited Items: Weapons, outside food and drink, and professional recording equipment are commonly restricted. Items that create a safety concern can also be refused at entry.

How Much Do Tickets to Broadbent Arena Cost?

Broadbent Arena ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the artist or team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from family shows and sporting events to concerts by in-demand touring acts.

For concerts, Broadbent Arena tickets are often in the approximate $35 to $100+ range, depending on the performer, demand, and where the seats are located. Floor seats and lower-bowl sections closer to the stage generally cost more than upper or rear seating.

For family shows and sporting events, tickets are commonly in the approximate $20 to $75 range. Entry-level seats can offer strong value, while seats closer to the action typically command higher prices.

Buying earlier generally provides better seat selection and pricing for high-demand events. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise, especially for popular concerts, family events, and sporting competitions.

Getting Ready for Your Broadbent Arena Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical steps make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a large exposition center complex with shared parking and multiple buildings.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the arena entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
• Wear the right footwear. Broadbent Arena is an indoor venue with standard concourse and seating access, but the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds are large, so comfortable shoes are useful for the walk from parking areas.
• Dress for an indoor venue. The arena is climate-controlled, so weather is not a factor once you are inside.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Large events can slow entry and exit because of the size of the Kentucky Exposition Center and shared parking areas.
• Know your entrance. Your ticket and event details can help you identify where to go before you arrive, which saves time on a large multi-building campus.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
