About Avenir Centre

Avenir Centre is an indoor arena located at 100 Main St in downtown Moncton, New Brunswick. It opened on September 8, 2018, as Moncton's premier arena, replacing the aging Moncton Coliseum. Owned by the City of Moncton and operated by Spectra, part of Oak View Group venue management, the arena seats approximately 8,800 for arena events, with capacity changing for concerts and other configurations.

The venue serves as the home of the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and hosts a broad mix of concerts, comedy, family events, trade shows, tournaments, and sporting events. Its flexible layout includes a standard-size ice surface, luxury boxes, and floor space that can be adapted for touring productions and large indoor events.

As Moncton's largest multi-use indoor facility, Avenir Centre is a key entertainment hub for Greater Moncton and the broader Maritime region.

Transit: Avenir Centre is served by Codiac Transpo bus routes with nearby stops in the downtown core. Its central location makes transit and walking practical for attendees staying or dining downtown before the event.

Driving and Parking: Drivers can use nearby parking garages, surface lots, on-street spaces, and municipal parking options around the arena. For major concerts and Wildcats games, arrive early because downtown lots and core traffic build ahead of event time.

Entrances and Access: Main entrances front the downtown core along Main Street. Guests enter through the arena entrances and move from the concourse into the seating bowl.

Concourse Levels: Avenir Centre has a single primary seating bowl arranged with lower and upper seating areas, plus a level of luxury and suite boxes ringing the bowl.

Accessibility: Accessible seating and services are available, consistent with a modern arena built to current accessibility standards.

Getting to Your Section: Concourse signage and staff direct guests to sections, and the compact bowl makes navigation straightforward. Looking at your section before arrival helps you move through the concourse more efficiently once inside.

How Much Do Tickets to Avenir Centre Cost?

Avenir Centre ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the artist or team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from family shows and comedy to Moncton Wildcats hockey and major touring concerts.

Moncton Wildcats hockey tickets typically range from approximately CAD $20 to $45, with prices influenced by matchup, seat location, and demand for marquee games.

Concert and touring-act tickets are often approximately CAD $50 to $150 or more, depending on the artist, production setup, and available seat location. Floor seating and lower-bowl seats for high-demand performers can move higher as inventory tightens.

Family shows and comedy events typically range from approximately CAD $30 to $90, with pricing shaped by event type, seating section, and overall demand.

Buying earlier generally yields better seat selection and pricing for high-demand concerts and marquee games. As inventory shrinks and the date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise.

Avenir Centre Seating Guide

Avenir Centre uses bowl-style arena seating around the ice or floor, with lower and upper sections plus luxury boxes and suites. Concert configurations can change by event, so checking the seating map before buying helps you compare proximity, sightlines, and price.

Best Seats at Avenir Centre

• Best value: Upper-level sections and corner seats are typically the most affordable, offering a full-venue view at a lower price point.
• Closest to the action: Lower-bowl rows near the glass put hockey fans closest to the ice, while floor seating brings concertgoers closest to the stage when that configuration is offered.
• Best overall experience: Lower-bowl center sections along the sides offer strong sightlines for both hockey and concerts, balancing distance, view, and atmosphere.
• Premium and suite options: Luxury boxes and suites serve premium and group buyers looking for added comfort and a more private event experience.
• For groups: Luxury boxes and suites are strong options for groups, while fans buying standard seats together should shop early for the best chance at contiguous seats for high-demand events.
• General admission: Some concert floor configurations may include general admission, giving fans a more flexible standing-room experience near the stage.

The map lets you compare sections side by side, check row depth and distance from the stage or court, and see real-time pricing for what's currently available — all before committing to a purchase.

Can I See Where My Seats Are?

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Use it to understand your position in the venue, your distance from the stage or court, and whether you're in the lower sections, upper sections, or a luxury box — so the tickets you choose match exactly what you're looking for on event night.

Getting Ready for Your Avenir Centre Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical steps make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a downtown arena where parking, restaurants, and event traffic can all get busy before showtime.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the arena entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. For major concerts and games, give yourself extra time because downtown parking and core traffic fill ahead of the start.
• Wear the right footwear. Avenir Centre is a modern indoor arena with standard stair and concourse access, so comfortable shoes are a smart choice for walking from downtown parking and moving around the concourse.
• Dress for the season. The venue is indoors, but Moncton's cold winter months can make the walk to and from downtown parking chilly.
• Know your section. Avenir Centre is compact and straightforward to navigate, but checking your section before arrival helps you head in the right direction once you are inside.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
