About Nicholls Lady Colonels

Nicholls women’s basketball competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Southland Conference, representing Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Known across campus as the Colonels (historically “Lady Colonels” for women’s programs), Nicholls builds its season around Southland Conference matchups and the push toward the Southland Conference Tournament.

Nicholls athletics leans into “Geaux Colonels” spirit with red and gray as the dominant colors and strong community support in southern Louisiana Cajun country. On game day, the student body and local fans help create a home-court feel that’s especially noticeable in an on-campus setting.

In conference play, regional Louisiana matchups help drive excitement and ticket demand—especially games against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, McNeese State Cowgirls, and Northwestern State Lady Demons. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Nicholls Lady Colonels tickets early is the smartest move.
