About Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Basketball

Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks men’s basketball is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Sun Belt Conference. The program has one NCAA Tournament appearance (1982), earned during the school’s earlier Northeast Louisiana identity. A key figure in program history is longtime head coach Mike Vining, who became the program’s all-time wins leader and guided the team through its most successful stretch.

Warhawks basketball plays at Fant-Ewing Coliseum in Monroe, Louisiana. Opened in 1971, the on-campus arena seats approximately 7,000 and hosts ULM men’s and women’s basketball, along with commencements and campus events. With a single-bowl design and fans close to the court, it creates a tight, mid-major atmosphere that can get loud when conference games draw a crowd.

Within the Sun Belt footprint, several matchups help define the season—especially the in-state rivalry against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, plus a longtime regional rivalry with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Games against Grambling State also add a north Louisiana angle to the schedule. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
