Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium delivers an intimate, close-to-the-action setting where the orange-and-blue atmosphere can get loud fast—especially for ranked SEC series and postseason play on campus in Gainesville. Whether you’ve followed the program for years or you’re planning your first game, Florida Gators Softball tickets put you inside one of the nation’s premier softball environments.

This page covers everything you need — from choosing the right seats at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium to knowing what to expect when you arrive on game day.

About Florida Gators Softball

Florida competes in NCAA Division I softball as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and the program has grown into a national standard-bearer since being established in 1997. The Gators own two Women’s College World Series national championships, winning back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015, and they’ve made multiple trips to Oklahoma City with runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2011 before the championship breakthrough.

Much of Florida’s rise is tied to head coach Tim Walton, who has led the program since 2006 and helped shape a consistent national contender. The Gators’ championship era featured stars like Lauren Haeger (USA Softball Player of the Year in 2015), Hannah Rogers (Most Outstanding Player of the 2014 Women’s College World Series), Kelsey Stewart, Aubree Munro, and earlier standout Stacey Nelson, an ace who helped put Florida on the map in the late 2000s.

On game day, Florida plays at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, an on-campus softball facility that opened in 1996 with subsequent renovations and expansions. With a capacity of approximately 2,500 (expandable with additional berm/standing-room seating), the stadium’s design keeps fans close to the field and helps create a high-energy atmosphere during SEC weekends and NCAA postseason games.

SEC matchups can be some of the most in-demand dates on the schedule, and rivalries help drive that intensity—especially vs. Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, along with high-profile national-stage meetings against Oklahoma in Women’s College World Series moments. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Florida Gators Softball tickets early is the smartest move.

Florida Gators Softball Seating at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium

Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium is designed for a tight, energetic softball experience, with seating focused around home plate and down the baselines plus outfield berm/lawn areas. With fans close to the field and sound carrying well, the atmosphere can build quickly during ranked SEC weekends and NCAA postseason games.

Best Seats for Florida Gators Softball Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game day experience you're after:

  • Best value: Outfield berm/lawn and sections farthest down the baselines — a fun, elevated view of the full field at a typically more affordable price point
  • Closest to the action: Lower rows along the first- and third-base lines — feel the pace up close and stay connected to every at-bat
  • Best overall view: Chairback seats directly behind home plate, centered on the backstop — strong sightlines as plays develop across the field
  • For groups and premium experiences: Seats directly behind home plate and prime lower-bowl vantage points — a top-tier view for big matchups and special occasions

If you’re organizing a group outing for an SEC weekend series or postseason date, it’s smart to line up seats early while inventory is still tight together.

Use it to get a clear picture of your sightline, whether you're positioned behind home plate or down a baseline, and how close you'll be to the field — so the seat you choose matches what you're actually looking for.

Getting Ready for Florida Gators Softball Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially with campus traffic, arrival timing, and mobile entry on busy SEC weekends.

  • Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
  • Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
  • Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
  • Use public transit if you can. The stadium is served by the Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS), with routes connecting the University of Florida campus.
  • Plan your rideshare pickup point. Rideshare drop-off and pickup use designated campus-area points near the athletic complex, and post-game pickups can take longer than expected.
  • Check the bag policy before you go. Florida Athletics enforces a clear-bag policy; small clutch bags within size limits are permitted and oversized/non-clear bags are prohibited.
  • Bring a card or mobile payment — Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium is cashless.
  • Plan parking on campus. Campus lots near the softball stadium and nearby UF athletic facility lots are commonly used on game days.
