About Evansville Purple Aces Women's Basketball

Evansville Purple Aces women's basketball represents the University of Evansville at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The Purple Aces identity is closely tied to the school’s deep basketball tradition—most famously shaped by legendary coach Arad McCutchan, whose achievements established Evansville’s national reputation in the sport.

Home games are played at Ford Center in downtown Evansville, a modern multipurpose arena that opened in 2011 and seats approximately 9,000–11,000 for basketball. The program also uses Meeks Family Fieldhouse as an on-campus venue for various Purple Aces basketball events, giving fans multiple ways to experience Evansville basketball in-person.

Within the MVC, matchups against longtime conference opponents help define the season, and in-state meetings with the Indiana State Sycamores stand out as a natural rivalry. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Evansville Purple Aces Women's Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.

Getting Ready for Evansville Purple Aces Women's Basketball Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially when you’re heading into downtown Evansville for an arena event.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Ford Center gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
• Use public transit if you can. Ford Center is accessible via local Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS) routes.
• Plan parking ahead. Downtown parking garages and surface lots are available near Ford Center.
• Plan your rideshare pickup point. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is available in the downtown area near the arena, and post-game traffic can slow things down.
• Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance. Ford Center enforces a clear-bag policy, and small clutch bags are generally permitted while larger bags are prohibited.
• Bring a card or mobile payment — Ford Center is cashless. Digital wallets and cards are the easiest way to keep lines moving at concessions.
