About Augustana Basketball

Augustana basketball competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) at the NCAA Division II level, representing Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Playing in the NSIC — widely regarded as one of the strongest Division II conferences — means a steady slate of competitive matchups throughout the season.

Augustana plays its home games at the Elmen Center on the Augustana University campus in Sioux Falls. Opened in 1989, the Arena has an approximate capacity of 4,000 and serves as home for Augustana University basketball and volleyball, with additional athletic and recreational facilities located in the building.

Within the NSIC, the Vikings’ schedule is shaped by conference opponents and regional familiarity — especially rivalry matchups that can spike demand. The University of Sioux Falls Cougars stand out as a primary crosstown rival in the same Sioux Falls market, with additional conference tension against Northern State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Augustana Vikings tickets early is the smartest move.
