About The Lettermen Christmas Show

The Lettermen Christmas Show is the annual holiday concert tradition from The Lettermen, the vocal trio first assembled in Los Angeles in 1958. Built around close-harmony vocal pop, traditional pop, and easy-listening balladry, The Lettermen developed a polished sound defined by seamless three-part harmonies, clean lead vocals, lush arrangements, and a romantic style that helped shape the soft vocal-group template of the 1960s. Founding member Tony Butala has remained the constant presence of the group since its formation, anchoring the harmony tradition across generations of lineups.

The group’s first major hits arrived in 1961, and their breakthrough ballad “When I Fall in Love” became a Top 10 Billboard hit. Through the 1960s and 1970s, The Lettermen earned numerous Billboard chart entries, multiple gold albums, and Grammy nominations during their chart heyday. Their hit medley “Goin’ Out of My Head / Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” became another defining recording, while albums such as A Song for Young Love, The Hit Sounds of The Lettermen, and Goin’ Out of My Head captured the group’s commercial peak.

The Lettermen’s legacy also includes a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and more than six decades of continuous touring and recording activity. Notable early and legacy members include Jim Pike, whose arrangements helped define the group’s early hit sound, Bob Engemann from the classic early-1960s trio, and Gary Pike, who later helped carry the harmony lineup forward. Today, The Lettermen remain active on tour, with The Lettermen Christmas Show serving as a recurring seasonal favorite for longtime fans, families, and audiences drawn to classic holiday music performed with elegant vocal blend.

For fans of close-harmony pop, traditional ballads, and seasonal concert traditions, The Lettermen Christmas Show tickets offer a chance to experience one of American vocal pop’s longest-running names in a festive live setting.

How Much Do Tickets to The Lettermen Christmas Show Cost?

The Lettermen Christmas Show tickets typically range from around $35 to $90 for most theater seating, with premium front-section or reserved seats toward the higher end and VIP or meet-and-greet packages available at higher price points depending on the venue and market.

Prices are shaped by venue size and location, seat proximity, market demand for the seasonal show, and the date within the holiday run. Because The Lettermen Christmas Show is tied to the Christmas season, popular weekend dates and strong nostalgia markets can move faster than standard theater inventory.

For holiday-season theater dates, buying earlier generally offers better seat selection and pricing before popular performances fill up. As the date approaches and inventory shrinks, prices for the best remaining sections may rise, especially for seats closest to the stage.

The Lettermen Christmas Show Seating Guide

The Lettermen Christmas Show typically plays theaters, performing-arts centers, concert halls, and music halls. Where you sit shapes the experience, so it is worth thinking through whether you want the closest possible view, balanced sound from the middle of the room, or the best available value.

Best Seats for a The Lettermen Christmas Show Concert

The right seat depends on what kind of show experience you're after:

• Best value: Rear theater seats and upper reserved sections — these often provide a broad view of the stage, strong room sound, and a more accessible price point for a holiday night out.
• Closest to the stage: Premium front-section reserved seats — these put you nearest the vocal performance and tend to sell quickly in markets with a strong returning holiday audience.
• Best overall experience: Mid-theater reserved seating — this offers a strong balance of sightline, proximity, sound clarity, and crowd energy for a harmony-focused concert.
• For groups: Coordinate contiguous reserved seats early, since blocks in popular sections disappear quickly for seasonal theater dates.

Getting Ready for Show Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation makes the whole evening run smoother — from the parking lot to the final encore.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cell service around theaters and concert halls gets congested as show time approaches. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before heading out so you're not searching at the gate.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard at most venues, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening out.
• Arrive before the listed start time. Shows often begin at or near the listed start time — arriving on time means you're in your seat when the music starts.
• Check the venue's bag policy before you go. Individual venues set their own security guidelines; reviewing them before you leave home prevents delays at the entrance.
