About Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Covelli Centre opened in 2005 as the Chevrolet Centre and was renamed Covelli Centre in 2010. The arena is owned by the City of Youngstown, with management handled by private operators under contract, and it sits at 229 East Front St. in downtown Youngstown, Ohio. Capacity is approximately 5,900 for hockey and can reach roughly 7,000 or more for concerts, depending on how the arena floor and seating are configured.

As an indoor multi-purpose arena, Covelli Centre hosts Youngstown Phantoms hockey, concerts across genres, comedy, family shows such as Disney On Ice, boxing and MMA cards, and community and seasonal events. Its role as the home ice of the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League gives the venue a steady sports calendar, while touring entertainment makes it a primary mid-size stop for live events in the Mahoning Valley.

Known locally as “the Covelli,” the arena is a central anchor of downtown Youngstown’s revitalization and is valued for its modern, compact layout and close-to-the-action atmosphere around the ice or stage.
