Swanfest Tickets

If you're searching for Swanfest tickets, you're looking at a high-energy, band-curated touring festival built around Dance Gavin Dance, the Blue Swan Records community, and a loyal post-hardcore and progressive rock fanbase. Swanfest brings a curated multi-artist lineup to venue-based city stops, making each date a focused gathering for fans of heavy, technical, and genre-blending live music.

This page covers everything you need — from what to expect on-site to preparing for your day at the event to finding the right passes and buying with complete confidence.

About Swanfest

Swanfest was founded in 2018 by Dance Gavin Dance, the Sacramento-based post-hardcore band whose Blue Swan Records label gives the event its “Swan” branding. The festival began as a destination event in Sacramento, California, giving fans a dedicated gathering built around Dance Gavin Dance, affiliated artists, and the broader post-hardcore scene.

Today, Swanfest operates as an annual touring multi-artist event with single-day access at each city stop. Recent editions expanded into multi-city touring runs across the United States and Canada, including a 27-date run featuring a curated supporting lineup.

The event’s musical focus centers on post-hardcore, progressive rock, metalcore, and related heavy alternative styles. Dance Gavin Dance serves as host and headliner, with past featured acts including Glassjaw, Animals As Leaders, The Home Team, and artists tied to the Blue Swan Records roster and affiliated scenes.

What to Expect at Swanfest

Swanfest is a venue-based touring festival experience, with editions presented at concert venues and city stops rather than one permanent outdoor festival site. That format keeps the event focused, intense, and close to the fan community that follows Dance Gavin Dance and the Blue Swan Records scene.

The lineup is the center of the Swanfest experience. Expect a curated bill shaped by Dance Gavin Dance’s musical world, blending post-hardcore, progressive rock, metalcore, and technically driven heavy music. The event is designed for fans who want more than a standard headlining set — it brings together multiple acts connected by sound, energy, and community.

Because Swanfest is built and curated by a single band, it carries a distinct identity. The event feels closely tied to Dance Gavin Dance’s fanbase, with supporting artists selected from the same broader creative orbit rather than pulled from an unrelated festival roster.

The atmosphere is high-energy and community-driven. Fans come for Dance Gavin Dance, but they also come for the shared scene around the band — a mix of longtime listeners, heavy-music fans, and audiences drawn to progressive, genre-crossing performances.

Important Things to Remember & How to Prepare

What to Bring

Swanfest is typically venue-based, so packing should focus on comfort, convenience, and smooth entry for a single-day concert-style event.

• Portable phone charger — Your phone may be your ticket, schedule, camera, and communication tool throughout the day. A compact charger helps keep you ready from doors through the final set.
• Comfortable shoes — Swanfest is typically general admission, and venue-based events often involve standing for extended periods.
• A loaded payment method — Bring a ready-to-use card or mobile wallet so you can move quickly through venue purchases where accepted.
• Your ticket details — Save your digital ticket or order confirmation before arriving so you can access it quickly at entry.

Know Before You Go

Swanfest operates under a bag policy that is updated and enforced each year. The specific dimensions, permitted materials, and exceptions are published on the official festival website before the event — confirm current details before you pack.

Commonly prohibited items at festivals and venue-based concerts of this kind can include outside food or alcohol, professional camera equipment, drones, and items that raise safety concerns. Check the official event and venue rules for your city stop before arriving.

Re-entry policies can vary by venue and city stop. Before leaving the venue area, make sure you understand whether your pass allows you to return later in the day.

Ticket delivery and entry processing may vary by stop. Your order details and delivery email will explain how your Swanfest ticket is accessed for your selected date.

Swanfest Access & Festival Map Guide

Swanfest is typically a general admission event, with VIP package options offered for select editions. For GA access, your viewing position is usually shaped by timing, crowd flow, and how you plan your day rather than a fixed seat assignment.

Best Viewing Strategies at Swanfest

• Best value approach: Arriving early for supporting acts can help you get closer to the action before the room fills for the most anticipated sets.
• Catching headliners: Dance Gavin Dance is the host and headliner, so plan your schedule around the main set if that is your top priority.
• Sound and view balance: In a general admission venue, a mid-room position often gives you a strong mix of sound, sightlines, and movement space.
• VIP viewing areas: VIP packages have been offered for Swanfest, and upgrading can provide a different access level when available for your selected stop.
• Multi-act navigation: Swanfest’s touring format brings multiple curated acts together in one day, so review the schedule for your city and decide which sets are must-see before you arrive.

Can I See Where My Spots Are?

Yes. The tools on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com let you review pass types and access levels before you buy — so you understand what areas of the festival grounds your ticket covers, whether you have GA access, VIP access, or a specific day pass.

Getting Ready for Festival Day

Once your passes are confirmed, a little preparation in the days before Swanfest makes a meaningful difference across every day you're at the event.

• Understand how your ticket works before you go. Your listing and delivery email will explain whether your city stop uses a scannable mobile pass or another venue entry process.
• Download your pass before you leave. Cell service near busy event venues during peak arrival times can be unreliable — save your ticket to your phone's wallet or screenshot it in advance.
• Charge your phone fully every morning. Your phone is your credential, schedule, map, and camera — carry a portable battery pack.
• Plan your arrival time around your first priority. Gates open before the first sets; arriving early means shorter lines and time to orient before crowds build.
• Know your options if plans change. If something comes up and you can no longer attend, reach out to our support team as early as possible — we're here to help you navigate any changes to your plans.
