About Resorts World Catskills - Monticello

Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is a multi-purpose casino-resort venue located at 888 Resorts World Drive in Monticello, New York. Opened in 2018, the property was developed by Empire Resorts and operates as part of the Genting Group family of Resorts World properties. Its event and entertainment spaces use flexible configurations, accommodating several hundred to a few thousand guests depending on whether a show is arranged with theater-style seating, general-admission standing space, or a banquet-style layout.

The resort serves the Catskills region as a gaming, lodging, dining, and entertainment hub. Events at Resorts World Catskills - Monticello include concerts across genres, comedy shows, ticketed resort events and festivals, themed events, promotional gatherings, nightlife, and ongoing casino-floor entertainment. Because the venue is part of a larger integrated resort, guests can pair an event with on-site restaurants, bars, hotel accommodations, and resort amenities.

Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is known for bringing live entertainment into a modern Catskills resort complex that includes a casino floor, hotel tower, indoor waterpark, multiple dining outlets, and flexible event spaces.

Location & Transportation

Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is located at 888 Resorts World Drive, Monticello, NY 12701 — in a rural Catskills setting in Sullivan County, roughly 90 miles from New York City.

Driving and Parking: Driving is the standard way to reach the resort. Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is accessed via Route 17 / I-86, and the property offers on-site parking, including a parking structure and valet. On busy event nights, allow extra time for the rural approach, parking, and the walk from the parking areas into the resort.

Transit: Scheduled public rail or subway service does not serve the property, but chartered bus and shuttle packages from the New York metro area are a common way to reach the resort. For guests coming from farther away, transportation planning is especially important because the venue sits outside an urban transit district.

Rideshare: Rideshare can be used at Resorts World Catskills - Monticello, but availability is thinner than at urban venues, especially late at night. Pickup wait times can run longer in the rural Catskills setting, so plan your return trip before the show ends.

Nearby Accommodation: The easiest lodging option is on-site. The resort includes its own hotel tower with several hundred rooms, and the adjacent Alder at Resorts World Catskills adds another nearby stay option. Additional hotels and lodging are available in Monticello and across the wider Sullivan County Catskills.

Venue Navigation

Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is part of a multi-level resort complex, so understanding the general layout before arrival helps you move from parking or valet into the lobby, casino floor, dining areas, and event spaces with less delay. Event seating and room setup depend on the specific show, but guest movement generally runs through the main resort interior.

Entrances and Access: Guests enter through the main resort entrance and lobby. Valet and parking-structure access both feed into the main building, where interior concourses connect the casino floor, restaurants, bars, and entertainment/event spaces.

Concourse Levels: The resort includes multiple levels and areas, with the casino floor, dining outlets, hotel tower, and event spaces distributed throughout the complex. Because rooms can be set up differently for concerts, comedy, standing events, and banquet-style functions, posted event signage is the best guide once you are inside.

Accessibility: The property is wheelchair accessible and includes accessible parking and facilities for guests attending resort events.

Getting to Your Section: Resort signage and staff direct guests from the main entrance and casino floor to the appropriate event space. Follow the posted event signs on arrival, and give yourself time to walk through the property before showtime.

How Much Do Tickets to Resorts World Catskills - Monticello Cost?

Resorts World Catskills - Monticello ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the artist or act, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from smaller lounge and comedy shows to headliner concerts and marquee special resort events.

Smaller lounge shows and comedy events typically fall into lower-tier pricing, with entry options that can start modestly compared with larger headliner events. Seating location, room setup, and demand still influence final pricing for these events.

Headliner concerts and marquee special events generally land in mid to higher pricing tiers depending on the performer, date, demand, and seating or package tier. VIP tables, group packages, and premium resort-event experiences are priced higher for select shows and functions.

Buying earlier generally secures better seating and package availability for popular shows. As inventory shrinks and the event date gets closer, the best remaining seating options and premium packages can rise in price, especially for high-demand concerts and special resort events.

Getting Ready for Your Resorts World Catskills - Monticello Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at an indoor resort venue reached by car through the Catskills.

• Download your tickets before you leave. The resort provides WiFi, but rural mobile coverage can be inconsistent on the drive in. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Give yourself buffer time for the rural approach via Route 17 / I-86, parking, and the walk from the parking areas through the resort, especially on busy event nights.
• Wear the right footwear. Resorts World Catskills - Monticello is primarily an indoor resort environment, but you should expect standard walking between parking, the casino floor, restaurants, and event spaces.
• Dress in layers. The venue itself is indoors, but Catskills weather can affect the drive and exterior parking areas, especially during cold or snowy winter conditions.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. The rural location and Route 17 / I-86 approach can add time before high-demand events, so arriving with a cushion helps keep the evening relaxed.
• Know your entrance. Check your ticket for the event space and follow resort signage from the main entrance and casino floor once you arrive.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
