About Cocopah Casino Event Lawn

Cocopah Casino Event Lawn is an outdoor concert lawn at Cocopah Casino & Resort, located at 15318 S. Ave B in Somerton, Arizona. The resort is operated by the Cocopah Indian Tribe, and the event lawn serves as the property’s open-air performance space for ticketed entertainment. Its setting in the desert Southwest gives events here a seasonal, outdoor atmosphere connected to the casino resort experience.

The venue primarily hosts outdoor concerts across genres, along with other ticketed live entertainment events on the resort grounds. It is a regional entertainment destination for the greater Yuma area and is especially popular with winter visitors, often known as “snowbirds,” who spend time in the region during the cooler months.

Its distinctive character comes from the combination of an outdoor lawn setting, a casino resort location, and a desert backdrop near Somerton, Yuma, and the Arizona–California border.

Location & Transportation

Cocopah Casino Event Lawn is located at 15318 S. Ave B, Somerton, AZ 85350 — on the Cocopah Casino & Resort property in the greater Yuma region.

Driving and Parking: Access is primarily by car via local highways serving the Somerton and Yuma area. Because the event lawn is part of a casino resort property, on-site parking is available for guests attending events. Arriving early is a smart move for busier concerts, since parking and entry activity can build as showtime approaches.

Transit: The venue sits in a rural area near Somerton, Arizona, and public transit options are limited. For most attendees, driving or arranging a ride is the most practical way to reach the resort.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are possible at the resort. Availability can be more limited than in a major metro area, so it is wise to plan extra time for pickup after the event, especially when many guests are leaving at once.

Nearby Accommodation: Cocopah Casino & Resort offers on-site rooms and suites, making it the most convenient lodging option for event attendees. Additional hotels are available in nearby Yuma for guests staying in the broader area.

Venue Navigation

Cocopah Casino Event Lawn is an outdoor event lawn, so navigation is centered on moving through the Cocopah Casino & Resort property and into an open-air concert area. Understanding the lawn-style setup before you arrive helps you plan for footing, arrival timing, and where you want to settle in for the show.

Entrances and Access: Guests access the event lawn through the Cocopah Casino & Resort property. Because events take place on the resort grounds, allow time to move from parking or drop-off areas toward the performance space.

Seating Levels: The event lawn is primarily an open-lawn, general-admission style setting. That means the experience is shaped more by where you choose to stand or sit on the lawn than by fixed tiers or concourse levels.

Getting to Your Section: Plan for outdoor lawn terrain and open-ground footing. Comfortable footwear makes the experience easier, especially when walking between parking areas, resort facilities, and the event lawn.

Getting Ready for Your Cocopah Casino Event Lawn Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at an outdoor venue in the Arizona desert.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the gate without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Access is primarily by car, and arriving early helps with parking and entry on the casino resort grounds.
• Wear the right footwear. The outdoor lawn setting means open-ground and grass footing, so supportive shoes are a smart choice for walking and standing.
• Dress in layers. As an outdoor venue in the Arizona desert, conditions can include daytime heat, sun exposure, and cooler evening temperatures.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Because access is primarily by car, give yourself enough time for local driving, parking, and entry before the event begins.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
