About Mohegan Sun Arena - CT

Mohegan Sun Arena opened in 2001 at 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd in Uncasville, Connecticut, as part of the Mohegan Sun casino resort. Owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribe / Mohegan, the arena holds approximately 10,000 guests, with configurations that vary by event and smaller setups used for some concerts and shows. Its location inside one of the largest casino resorts in the United States gives guests access to entertainment, dining, hotel options, and arena events within the same destination.

The arena is home to the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA and has served as the team's home court since 2003, including WNBA Finals appearances. Beyond basketball, Mohegan Sun Arena hosts concerts across pop, rock, country, hip-hop, and R&B, along with professional boxing, MMA, comedy specials, family shows, and special events.

Location & Transportation

Mohegan Sun Arena - CT is located at 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd, Uncasville, CT 06382 — inside the Mohegan Sun resort complex in southeastern Connecticut.

Driving and Parking: Mohegan Sun Arena is a car-access destination reachable via Route 2A off I-395 in Uncasville. Extensive free on-site parking is available in the resort's garages and lots, which is a major convenience compared with many urban arenas. Valet parking is also offered, and large events can create congestion in the garages and on resort access roads, so arriving early is a smart move.

Transit: Public transit options are limited. Casino shuttle and bus services operate from various regional points, and the resort runs bus programs from surrounding cities, making scheduled resort transportation a practical option for some visitors.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are available at the resort, with designated areas handling arrivals and departures. After large concerts, games, and combat-sports events, typical post-event waits can occur as crowds leave the property.

Nearby Accommodation: On-site lodging at the Mohegan Sun hotel towers is the easiest option for staying steps from the arena. Additional hotels are located in the Uncasville, Norwich, and Montville areas.

Venue Navigation

Mohegan Sun Arena is part of a large resort complex, so navigation often begins before you reach the arena itself. Guests typically move through casino, retail, and resort concourse areas before arriving at the arena entrances.

Entrances and Access: The arena is entered through the Mohegan Sun resort complex, with access routed from the casino floor and adjacent concourses. Signage throughout the resort directs guests toward the arena entrances.

Concourse Levels: The arena uses a bowl-style seating layout with a lower level and an upper level, supplemented by suites and premium seating areas. Floor configurations are added for concerts and combat sports, giving the arena flexibility across different event types.

Accessibility: ADA and accessible seating and services are available, consistent with the resort's broader accessibility accommodations. Accessible parking and restrooms are also part of the overall resort experience.

Getting to Your Section: Staff and signage throughout the resort and arena concourses guide guests toward their sections. Because the venue is integrated into a large casino resort, expect some walking through casino and retail areas before reaching your seating area.
