Roanoke Civic Center is a multi-purpose venue located at 710 Willamson Road Northeast Roanoke, Virginia. This spectacular event center is divided into four different parts: a 10,500-seater Coliseum, a 14,000 square feet Exhibit Hall, a 2,151-seater Performing Arts Theatre, and a 46,000 square feet Special Events Center.
With these grandiose feats, it is not surprising that the center has been in the forefront of catering successful happenings, celebrations, and the likes within its premises. Historically speaking, the structure was built in 1971, which immediately became the venue for the phenomenal American Basketball Association tournaments. Later, it became the home court of the Roanoke Dazzle basketball team while at the same time serving as the base of the Roanoke Express and the Roanoke Valley Vipers ice hockey teams.
Today, it is considered as one of the major event venues for trade shows, conventions, conferences, and consumer shows. It is also open for meetings, banquets, live entertainment, cultural and concert performances, and, of course, a long list of sporting events.
