Located in San Jose, California, the HP Pavilion is a 19,000-seat stadium that is used for hockey, basketball, wrestling, concerts and more. Opened in 1993, the stadium is known by nicknames like “The Shark” and “The Tank,” due in large part to the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, its primary tenant. In addition to the Sharks, the arena was formerly used by the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, the San Jose Stealth of the NLL, the San Jose Grizzlies of the CISL, the San Jose Lasers of the ABL and the San Jose Rhinos of the RHI. Although the venue is used for a wide variety of athletic events, it is one of the most popular in the world for non-sporting performances. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus visits the arena every year, and artists like Madonna, Pink, Coldplay, Taylor Swift and more have performed on its stage.
