The Liacouras Center is a sports and entertainment venue at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Formerly called the Apollo at Temple, it was renamed after university president Peter J. Liacouras in 2000, the year he retired. The Liacouras Center is home to the Temple Owls basketball and volleyball teams, and formerly hosted the Philadelphia KiXX indoor soccer team. The arena seats over 10,200 fans, but the Liacouras Center can also be configured to form the Esther Boyer Theater, which seats between 1,000 and 5,000 people.
Due to the eclectic nature of the venue, you can get Liacouras Center tickets for a variety of different events. In April, you can see the Standing Ovation comedy tour, as well as an address to the Temple Law Foundation by President Bill Clinton. Then in May is the Disney Junior Live “Pirate & Princess Adventure” tour. There’s always something fun happening at the Liacouras Center.
